House F
Project for the creation of a two-story house near Plan de Campagne
Bouc Bel Air
Single-family home; new development
In the heart of Provence, just a stone's throw from the village of Cabriès, this new house development is set in a gently sloping plot of land planted with trees and created by dividing the land. The aim is to create a comfortable home that respects its environment and blends perfectly into the local landscape. Designed to avoid the flood zone, the house sits on a raised crawl space. Access and parking are designed to keep the soil permeable, and no tall trees have been removed. The architecture is inspired by Provençal codes, but with a modern twist: canal tile roofing, limestone-coloured rendered facades, volumes set back to lighten the overall effect, and a mix of ground and upper storeys. Wooden joinery, wooden terraces and steel railings add to the discreet elegance. The project complies with RT2012 standards, with external insulation, underfloor heating, rainwater recovery and solar panels on the garden side. A sober, sustainable project fully rooted in its local area
